When we first moved the APIs and TCKs for the Java EE specifications over to the Eclipse Foundation under the Jakarta EE banner, we kept the existing names for the specifications in place, and adopted placeholder names for the open source projects that hold their artifacts.

The Jakarta EE 2019 Developer Survey, organized by the Jakarta EE Working Group, is now closed. The survey wrapped up at midnight on Monday, March 25, with over 1,770 responses from developers around the globe. Truly an outstanding response from an amazing community!

This is an annual survey that delivers valuable insight into enterprise and cloud native programming languages, platforms, and infrastructure. As always, the results will be shared with everyone.
